I look back to a year and a half ago when I first met you, and i made you jump through hoops to prove you were different. I was so hesitant and so scared of being hurt again, and you went above and beyond to prove you were someone i could trust and give my heart to without any worries, and look where we are now. What good was all that effort you put in, just for it to come out a year later that it meant nothing. How am I ever suppose to trust anyone again.

The real downside to posting nudes.
Those who are outside of this lifestyle believe that the downside to nudes is people you know finding out and ruining job opportunities, which are both true things for some, but when that isn’t a problem for you, what’s next, right?
The body shaming, and I don’t mean the shaming of nudes in general. People will find every single little thing they don’t like about your body and they will shove it in your face. Then other people will see what that person, and guess what? They might just see what they see wrong with your body, too? Big nipples, flabby stomach, flat ass, jiggly legs, bad skin, whatever. They will take that and shove it in your face, and no matter how many great points you make against it or how many people disagree, it never goes away, and no matter what you do; it never just stops hurting. Seriously, I’ve learned to live with most of these things and love every little flaw in my body, but I’ve been called fat so many times that I’ve stopped eating. I cannot remember the last time I’ve had a real meal. I snack maybe once out of the day; and that’s it. I work myself out until I pass out, and guess what? Nothing fucking changes. Why? Probably because my thyroid disorder makes it really hard for me to lose body fat. People don’t care about that, though. People don’t care that the things they don’t like about you are things you cannot change. If you’re not their view of perfection, they will literally try to tear you to pieces until you either disappear, or you’ve developed such a thick shell inside that the insults go in one ear and out the other, but then so do the compliments. You’re stuck in a constant loop of hating yourself one day and loving yourself the other, and it really fucking sucks.
With this job/lifestyle/whatever you call it, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned that there are parts of your body that you can’t change, parts that you can, and parts that you’re not willing to change. I’ve also learned that you’ve definitely got to have a certain type of personality to be able to go on doing what we do every single day, and it’s definitely not for people who aren’t strong. The hate isn’t something we should have to deal with at all, but it’s something that we cannot change. We either change ourselves or learn to live with it.
My advice to people on the outside of all of this? When you’re scrolling through your dash and you see a nude girl and you think “that girl is disgusting/ugly/fat” have some common god damned decency and keep that to yourself, because there’s a HUGE difference between having an opinion and blatantly hating on a person for WHO THEY ARE and the things that they can’t fucking change simply because it doesn’t fit your criteria of attractive. There should be no fucking criteria for who’s attractive because everyone in this world is fucking different.
xoxo Ryden.
